Miss Mulligan's Classes

Welcome to Miss Mulligan's Class!

Miss Mulligan teaches a section of Honors English 7, two sections of English 7, and an SEL Advisory Class. For more about English, see the information below.

This school year students will continue to develop their reading and writing skills to prepare them for success in eighth grade, high school, college, and beyond. We will also be helping them to prepare for the Reading SOL Test given to them in the spring. The course will be broken up into 4 quarters with each quarter consisting of 9 weeks. The quarters will focus on the following themes:

♦ Quarter 1- Community

♦ Quarter 2- Change

♦ Quarter 3- Survival

♦ Quarter 4- Success

At the end of each quarter, we will take a Benchmark Test with our final exam being the Reading SOL.

In addition to various short stories from our textbook and other sources, we will be engaging in several novel studies to enrich and reinforce the concepts taught in class.
