Hello From your School Counselor!

Hello Emerald Hill Students and Families!

My name is Jordan Jednat and I am the full-time School Counselor at Emerald Hill. I am so excited to be back this school year!

I am originally from Edgewater, MD and recently moved back to the east coast with my husband after spending a few years out west in Colorado as well as Wyoming.

I absolutely love being an Elementary School Counselor! It is truly amazing to see children learn new skills and grow to become the best versions of themselves. This will be my 7th year as a School Counselor. I have been at the elementary level for over 4 years now and can't imagine anywhere else I want to be. Furthermore, another fantastic staff member will be joining us again this school year and he is my therapy dog named Kane. He will accompany me on Tuesdays and Fridays in my classroom lessons and individual or group visits with students.

I look forward to getting to know and work with all of our wonderful scholars this school year. Together we will make every day amazing! GO EAGLES!!
