Welcome to the Eastern View High School Band website. This site is designed to keep students, parents, and the community aware and updated of the happenings within our band program. You will find the EVHS Band Syllabus, the EVHS Band Calendar, information regarding beginning band, as well as syllabi for other courses taught by Mr. Roach. About the director:
Adam Marshall Roach was reared in a small town in Charlotte County, Virginia where his mother was an educator for 34 years. His wife, Rebecca Haluska Roach, is the band director at Culpeper Middle School and they have two children, Isaac and Ruth. Mr. Roach holds an Associates degree from Southside Virginia Community College and a Bachelors in Music Education from Longwood University where he graduated with honors. Mr. Roach began his teaching career in 2004 as a K-5 General Music Educator in Albemarle County Public Schools where he taught for one year before becoming the Assistant Band Director at Culpeper County High School. In 2008 Mr. Roach accepted a position as the band director at the newly constructed Eastern View High School in Culpeper, Virginia where his bands consistently earn “Excellent” and “Superior” ratings at VBODA events. In addition to EVHS, Mr. Roach was the 5th grade band director at A.G. Richardson, Farmington, and Pearl Sample elementary schools for 11 years. Mr. Roach continues to teach, perform, and serve at various camps, clinics, and other venues throughout Virginia. He is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Virginia Music Educators Association, the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity.
