CMS Athletics Information

The CMS football skills camp will be July 27-29 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on the practice field behind

Football tryouts will be July 30, 31, & August 1 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on the practice field. All athletes must be registered in Arbiter to tryout. Athletes that have not registered in Arbiter will be sent home and will not be able to tryout until the physical is in Arbiter. The physical will be good for one year from the date it was issued.

Girls Basketball tryouts will be August 10,11, and 12 starting at 2:30-4:30 pm. Please bring a water bottle to tryouts.

All physicals for the 2026/27 school year must be dated after May 1, 2026. All athletes must register in Arbiter before they can try out. Physicals must be on file in order to try out for fall sports.(Football, girl's basketball, & cheer)

Please contact your child’s regular primary care provider and request a sports physical. Below are a few places to get the required physical.

Culpeper Family Practice offers sports physicals that can be scheduled at their office located at 1200 Sunset Lane Suite 2210 Culpeper, VA 22701 (Mulberry Commons complex, behind the Walgreens). Their hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8AM-8PM and Saturday 8AM-4PM. For questions, please call (540) 825-6100. Student must provide the required VHSL physical form and any necessary medical record.

Athletes are required to print and sign the Student Athlete Handbook and have an updated physical dated after May 1st, 2026.

Before participating in any athletic activity, parents are required to sign the Athletic Acknowledgment Form located on last page of the student-athlete handbook. Activity fees must be paid in full before athletes can participate in a scrimmage or game. The activity fee is $90.00 per athlete.

All physicals for the 2026-27 seasons
