Social Studies

In 2nd grade we learn about we learn about the continents and oceans. This can be a difficult concept for our students because they don't always have a frame of reference for the world outside of thier community. You can help by reading stories that take place in different states or countries and then finding them on a map. A great life skill you can help your child with at this age is making sure they know thier address and a phone number where they can reach a parent or guardian in the event of an emergency.
