Service: As a service project for this year’s Student Leaders Conference, we will be working with Adopt a Classroom Virgin Islands, a branch of Adopt a Family USVI.

Goal: Our goal is to collect supplies for the schools in the Virgin Islands. These schools are in need of supplies and support on a good day; however, many schools were completely devastated by Hurricane Irma in 2017. We want to help teachers and students to get the supplies they need to become operational again.

Wish list items also include computer speakers, printers, scanners, and other educational electronics.

Implementation: Leading up to the conference, attending schools will run a donation drive at their home school. Each school will choose a specific item to collect. A portion of our conference will be devoted to spending time making classroom care packages to send to schools in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Students will also be encouraged to write notes of kindness and encouragement to the recipients.
