Town and Country Cotillion: 2026-2027 Sixth Grade Season
Looking for a fun, screen-free social activity for your rising sixth grader? Town & Country Cotillion
gives students the chance to learn social dance, build confidence, and practice good
manners in a welcoming, well-organized environment. It's an excellent way for middle
schoolers to socialize, try something new, and have fun with their peers.
What to Expect
A 60+ year tradition held at The Tuckahoe Woman's Club
4215 Dover Road, Richmond, VA
Seven instructional dances from September 2026 through February 2027
Friday or Saturday evenings
Classes last about 1-14 hours
Formal, semi-formal, and themed dances
Professional instruction with age-appropriate music.
Students grouped by school or parent-organized groups.
All events are well-chaperoned.
Students learn dance steps together throughout the season and naturally gain confidence as
they become more comfortable on the dance floor and with one another. Sixth graders are also
invited to continue Cotillion in seventh and eighth grade.
Tuition: $335 for the 2026-2027 season

What is Bullying?
According to the Code of Virginia 22.1-276.01:
Bullying is defined as any aggressive and unwanted behavior that is intended to harm, intimidate, or humiliate the victim; involves a real or perceived power imbalance between the aggressor or aggressors and target; and is repeated over time or causes severe emotional trauma. 'Bullying' includes cyber bullying. 'Bullying' does not include ordinary teasing, horseplay, argument, or peer conflict.
