MedlinePlus - A service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine & the National Institutes of Health. Reliable information on all sorts of current medical issues and topics.
Pics4Learning - A safe, free library of images for use by students and teachers.
Poetry 180 - Read a poem a day for the whole school year! Curated by former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins for the Library of Congress.
ProQuest - This is a magazine & newspaper database filed with hundreds of titles designed for middle school students. Most journal articles are full text, including photographs. This resource provides students and teachers a wealth of resources on current-in-the-news topics.
Scholastic Go! - An extensive collection of digital encyclopedias.
SIRS Discoverer - Contains over 1,600 full-text articles from magazines, newspapers, and U.S. government documents. Designed for elementary and middle school students.
SIRS Issues Researcher - Looking for a variety of sides on a variety of topics (perhaps for a pro/con assignment?), this is your go-to database. Organized by topic/issue.
Sora - Ebooks & digital audiobooks from CCPS & CCPL. Log-in with your CCPS account.
Soundzabound - A wide variety of music, audio themes, and sound effects which can be used free of charge and without copyright infringement.
