I was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, and went to college at the University of Southern Indiana where I earned my teaching degree. I taught third grade for 2 1/2 years, then I took a 10 year break from teaching to be a stay at home mom. Now I am in my 21st year teaching at Cedar Cliff, and I love working and living in the village of Cedarville.
My husband, Scott, can be found taking pictures on the campus of Cedarville University as he is the campus photographer. We have a daughter, Abby, who is an OR nurse at Soin Hospital. Our youngest daughter, Emily, and her husband, Eli, live in Kettering. Eli works at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. They have one daughter, Ivy Jane, who just turned two and Ivy will be a big sister in January.
We also have a goldendoodle named Simone from 4 Paws for Ability. She was a breeder dog and had 3 litters of puppies, most of which are now service dogs. We also short-term foster puppies that are in the progam to become service dogs.
I also enjoy kayaking, making cards, and taking walks with my family.
