About Me

I was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, and went to college at the University of Southern Indiana where I earned my teaching degree.   I taught third grade for 2 1/2 years, then I took a 10 year break from teaching to be a stay at home mom. Now I am in my 18th year teaching  at Cedar Cliff, and I love working and living in the village of Cedarville.

My husband, Scott,  can be found taking pictures on the campus of Cedarville University as he is the campus photographer.  We have a daughter, Abby, who is an OR nurse at Soin Hospital.   Our youngest daughter, Emily,  and her husband, Eli,  live in Fairborn.  Eli works at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and is getting his masters at University of Dayton.  They also just had their first baby, Ivy Jane.

Our family loves to volunteer with the organization  4 Paws for  Ability.  We currently have Simone from 4 Paws for Ability.  She was a breeder dog  and  had 3 litters of puppies, most of which are now service dogs.  We also short-term foster puppies that are in the progam to become service dogs.

I also enjoy kayaking,  making cards, and taking walks with my family.
