What is a Google Site?

This year we will be using Google Sites in math class. Google Sites is a user friendly tool that makes creating a website easy. Each student will be creating their own Google Site this year! This will take place of your traditional math notebook. How exciting!!

What Do I Need to Do?

As a student, you are expected to take care of your Google Site and keep it up to date, as it will become your greatest resource when we review all the material from the beginning of the year.

You are expected to make up any work if you miss a class. It will be your responsibility to catch up on the missing elements. All work must be made up!

Creating and maintaining your Math Google Site will count as part of your class participation grade. I will be checking all sites frequently, but will only grade it at the end of each marking period.

What If I Need Help?

My Google Site will serve as a reference guide to what will be expected to be added to yours! Please check my Google Site frequently to stay up to date. You can use the links below or click the tab at the top for your grade level.

Creating and maintaining your Google Site should be fun!

The layout of your Google Site can be your own! What MUST be included on your site is:

• An all about me page

• Google Site Expectations and Rubric

• Unit Titles

• Lesson Titles

• Lesson Components

  • Notes

  • Videos

  • Practice Problems

Each day I will let you know what must be uploaded to your Google Site. It will be your responsibility to stay up to date.

Will You Teach Us How to Create Out Google Sites?

Of Course I will!

We will be taking a few days the week of September 14th to get aquatinted with Google Sites. For a few weeks, or months we will go slow and I will be posting videos or showing examples of what to do. With practice I am confident you will become an expert!

Who Will See My Site?

I will be checking your Google Site throughout out the year. Your parents will also be given access, so they can stay up to date with your progress in math. I will also be choosing a student of the week/month to show off your talents. The possibilities are endless!
