Updates for the Parents/Carers of Christ’s College Finchley
Dear families,
It has been a week of goodbyes at CCF with Year 11 having their last day on Wednesday and Year 13 yesterday. Whilst of course the pupils will be back for their masterclasses and exams, and we will see many of Year 11 in Year 12 in September, this is a significant milestone in their education and both events were a chance to reflect on and celebrate all the pupils have achieved during their time at CCF. I am aware that examinations can be a challenging time for pupils and for families, and I know I speak for all staff when I say how proud we are of how they have approached their studies in the build up to the examination period.
I know from speaking to pupils in Year 7 who attended the PGL trip last weekend that it was an enjoyable and enriching experience and I am grateful to Mrs Ireland, Head of Year 7, and the staff who gave up their weekend to attend and ensure our pupils had such a rewarding time.
I’d like to remind parents/carers of Year 9 pupils that, from Monday, Year 9 will move to the KS4 timetable, ie. pupils will have break at 11-11.30am and lunch at 1.30-2pm. They will still need to be in tutorial by 8.40am and will still finish at 3pm.
Our first Parent Voice meeting will take place on Tuesday 13th May 6-7pm in person. The intention is for the group to meet once a half term and I would like to thank those of you who have already signed up to attend. Should you wish to attend please email info@ccfplus.com before the end of Monday 12th May.
I have been informed that there will be traffic signal repair works on East End Road just outside CCF next Thursday 15th May and there will be two-way temporary signals from 10am until 3pm that day.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a lovely weekend.
Dr Ruth Hill
