Updates for the Parents/Carers of Christ’s College Finchley
Good luck to all those taking mock exams this week
Dear families,
It has been a delight to welcome pupils back this week for the start of the summer term. Year 10 pupils have been sitting exams this week and pupils have quickly learnt the routines for exams and are impressing staff both with their preparation for their exams and their conduct. There were a number of intervention sessions run over the Easter break to support pupils in the build up to public examinations and I am grateful to staff who led these sessions and to pupils who attended and showed excellent attitudes towards their revision.
We have welcomed visitors from one of our feeder schools, Brooklands Junior School, today, as Year 5 pupils visited to take part in taster lessons in Science, Mandarin and Religion and Philosophy. It has been lovely to see how excited the Year 5 pupils were and how supportive our pupils were in welcoming the primary school visitors.
As the weather looks set to be warmer and sunnier next week I would like to remind families that pupils should wear full school uniform, including their blazer, unless told otherwise. Should the temperatures look to be in the high 20s for a number of days then we will make adjustments to the uniform and will inform parents and pupils in advance.
Finally I would like to wish you all a lovely weekend and to remind you that next week is a full week and the following week includes a bank holiday on Monday 5th May 2025 and we have an INSET day on Tuesday 6th May 2025.
Kind regards,
Dr Ruth Hill
