Hampstead Garden Suburb News Visitor - Kate Webster
Yesterday, 'The Junior Journal' was visited by Kate Webster who works for the Suburb News!
Christ College Finchley was featured in the youth section of the last edition of the paper in which our Y10 pupils wrote about what they would do if "they ruled the world...!" Kate spoke to the students about the expectations of journalistic writing and what it's like working for a publication.
Together they brainstormed some ideas for the next topic which focuses on eco-friendly changes in our local community. This issue will be printed and distrubed in early March - so keep an eye out for the writing of our fabulous Y10s: Mizuki, Nella, Lily, Reiko, Kritika and Phoebe!

Student Success - Basketball
We are proud to celebrate Pawel (Year 11), who was selected to play 3x3 basketball at The House of Ja event held at Magazine London – NBA House.
The event brought together the top under-18 3x3 players and was hosted by Rise 3x3, NBA Europe and Nike. Ja Morant (The Grizzlies) attended the evening to judge the dunk contest, with professional footballer Dejan Kulusevski (Tottenham Hotspur) also in attendance. Each selected player received a pair of Ja 3 Twelve Time basketball trainers.
Pawel represented Team Greenwich with confidence and commitment on a major stage. This is an excellent achievement and reflects his hard work and dedication. We are very proud of him.

We had an amazing victory winning 43 - 32 against London Academy.

Year 5s Sampling Life at CCF!
It's been a really busy week for us here at CCF. We welcomed six different local primary schools to have a taste of what secondary school is like at CCF.
They were all excitedly letting staff know what they learnt as they left and were all smiling on their way back to school.

Pupils from a number of local primary schools joined us to take part in a range of enjoyable sporting challenges, all guided by our excellent Sports Leaders.
