Congratulations to Mr Rickman and Ms Pullan!
Huge congratulations to both Mr Rickman and Ms Pullan on completing the London Marathon at the weekend.
Hours of training, rain or shine, and plenty of determination have clearly paid off. Not only did they take on the 26.2 miles, but they did so while raising money for worthwhile causes.
Between them, they’ve raised a huge total—an amazing achievement alongside the small matter of running a marathon. A fantastic effort all round and a real inspiration to us all… even if most of us are happier cheering from the sidelines!
Mr Rickman and Miss Pullan would like to extend their sincere thanks for the generous donations received in support of their London Marathon 2026 fundraising efforts.
They are delighted to share that, thanks to the kindness of our school community, CCF raised a total of £1,377. This amount has been split equally between their chosen charities, Children with Cancer UK and Alzheimer’s Research UK (via SMILES).
Both successfully crossed the finish line this past weekend and not only met but exceeded their fundraising targets.
Your support is greatly appreciated by the charities and the school alike. Mr Rickman and Miss Pullan are very grateful for the encouragement, generosity and thoughtful messages they received throughout their journey.

The UCAS Year
Sixth Formers begin their ‘UCAS’ Year in February with Careers Week.
We had speakers from a wide variety of careers / industries giving talks to our pupils covering Medicine, Law, Publishing, Engineering, Marketing, Fundraising, Architecture and Investment Banking. These talks help to inspire students and point them towards pathways that they themselves can follow as well as providing advice and opportunities for work experience.
This was followed by the visit to the UCAS Discovery Exhibition at the Excel Centre in March. Stalls from all the further education providers in the country were present giving students the chance to talk to current students and university representatives and really start thinking about where they want to apply to post CCF.
Those students thinking about potential Oxbridge applications visited Gonville and Caius College Cambridge in February and are about to embark on a programme of interview skills workshops.
Increasingly apprenticeships are amongst the most competitive possibilities for post-16 education. Year 12 were lucky to have a representative from AIM London visit them at the start of this term and talk them through the exciting opportunities available through apprenticeships and how they can go about applying for them.
Students will now start to finalize their plans and begin making their applications for life after CCF. Our team will be on hand to guide and support them throughout this process.
