Updates for the Parents/Carers of Christ’s College Finchley
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Dear families,
As we approach the end of what has been a long term I would like to thank parents and carers for all of your support during the autumn term and 2025 as a whole. This term our pupils have shown how impressive they are both in and out of the classroom, and the past few weeks Year 11 have worked incredibly hard on their mock exams while students in Year 13 are preparing for their mocks which take place at the start of January. Today we had our Christmas concert at breaktime (and an extra concert for pupils from Brooklands Junior School) which showed the incredible musical skills of our pupils. They performed a variety of pieces and certainly got the whole school community in a festive mood before the end of term. Earlier in the week saw our KS3 Drama Christmas sharing which was delightful and on Wednesday the Heads of Years 7-10 hosted a rewards afternoon for the pupils with the most positive points in each year group. I am pleased to share with families our Christmas Spotlight (click here) which showcases just a few of the many highlights of recent weeks. The students have also worked very hard on the last Junior Journal of this term which you can read here. Thank you to Ms Riley and the pupils for keeping us informed and for working so tirelessly on this!
We welcome pupils back on Tuesday 6 January 2026 and I would like to remind parents and carers of the importance of checking that pupils have the correct uniform for the new year. Pupils who wear trousers must wear grey tailored trousers and those who wear the school skirt must wear it knee-length. Footwear must be black leather shoes and the only permitted jewellery is one small plain studded earring in each earlobe. Make-up, fake nails, nail varnish and hoodies are banned. Please click here for the uniform policy which has more information and please email info@ccfplus.com for the attention of your child’s Head of Year if you have any specific questions about the school’s uniform policy.
Finally, I would like to wish those who celebrate a Merry Christmas, wish our Jewish community a Happy Hannukah and wish you all a restful festive period.
Kind regards,
Dr Ruth Hill
Headteacher
