A Little About My Background
Hello! I’m Mr. Mickelson, and I am so excited to be your student’s Technology Teacher here at Corpus Christi.
I’ve been working in the tech industry since 2017, spending time in both the private and public sectors. While I love the technical side of things, I found my true calling in 2023 when I started teaching. There is nothing better than seeing a student’s face light up when a complex piece of code finally "clicks" or when a project they’ve worked hard on finally comes together.
I have 3 kids. 2 daughters and a son.
I’m honored to be part of the Corpus Christi community and can’t wait to see the incredible things your students will create this year!

In my classroom, we don't just "use" computers—we learn how they think, how they’re built, and how to make them do amazing things. Technology is a powerful tool for creativity and problem-solving, and my goal is to move students from being "users" to being innovators.
What We’re Diving Into This Year
What We’re Diving Into This Year
We have some incredible projects lined up across our three main tracks:
Hardware and Code: We will be learning everything there is to know about building and disassembling computer hardware. We will also be learning about programming using Javascript and HTML.
Digital Media: We will be learning how to express our creativity through animation using the OpenToonz software. We will also be producing and doing sound design!
