Dr. Trytten has taught Middle School Science in multiple settings and earned a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Science Education from the University of Kansas. She has a Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Educational Technology from Baker University. Dr. Trytten received her B.A. in Elementary and Middle School Education with a concentration in Middle School Science from Emporia University.
Her experience includes 26 years of education-related activities, including teaching 5th and 6th grade at Prairie Park Elementary School and teaching Forensic Science with the Discovery Science Center at the Tiger Woods Learning Center in Anaheim, CA. Before coming to Corpus Christi, she supervised and taught student teachers in the areas of Science and Math at the University of Kansas and Washburn University.
Dr. Trytten's experience and knowledge in technology, developing, and teaching science curriculum make her the perfect fit to continue building on the strong STEM program that we have in place at our school.
