Adobe Spark

Adobe Spark is a free digital storytelling suite that includes three tools: Video, Page, and Post. Learn more about these tools below.

""

Spark Video

Create short, voice-narrated videos set to music with brief video clips, text, and photos, and graphics shared with a Creative Commons license and available directly through the Adobe Spark library.

Ideas for Teaching & Learning: Module introductions, instructor greetings, project overviews, end-of-the-class celebrations.

Accessibility Note: Spark Video does not support the ability to add captions. If you use Spark Video to create instructional material, download the video from Spark, upload it into YouTube or 3C Media Solutions, ensure captions are accurate, and then embed the captioned video in your Canvas course.

""

Spark Page

Create beautiful webpages including text, videos, and Creative-Commons licensed images from the Page graphic library (or upload your own).

Ideas for Teaching & Learning: Give students the option to create a beautiful website or write a traditional paper.

Accessibility Note: Spark Page has accessibility gaps for students who use screen readers. This means if you have a student who is blind in your class and you provide instructional content created with Spark Page, the student will not be able to navigate that content. We advise you to use Spark as an option for students to use to create student-generated content for assignments and projects.

Spark Post

Create graphics and share them easily with your social networks. Use the images built into the Adobe Spark library. Great for attention grabbing graphics!

Ideas for Teaching & Learning: Create inspirational graphics for your Canvas course, share motivational messages with your students on Twitter and Instagram.

Accessibility Note: If you use Spark to create images for your course, be sure to use the "Alt-text" feature in Canvas to provide a text description of the image. This ensures the image is accessible to students who use a screenreader.
