My name is Dr. Amy Williamson, and I am an Early Intervention Program (EIP) teacher at GTE. This is my 19th year as an educator. My husband and I have been married for 26 years, and we have an 19-year-old son named Bryce, who is studying BioChemical Engineering at UGA. One of my favorite things to do is watch movies with my family!
Regarding my educational preparation, I earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2005, a master's degree in Educational Leadership in 2007, a specialist degree in Teaching and Learning in 2010, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management in 2021.
Regarding my experience, I've taught kindergarten, third grade, and second through fifth-grade gifted education. I was an instructional specialist for nine years. Currently, in addition to EIP, I teach the gifted endorsement at Augusta University.
As an EIP teacher, my goal is to provide high-impact instructional strategies to help students obtain the necessary academic skills to reach grade-level performance in the shortest amount of time.
I look forward to a successful year with your child! Please reach out if you have any questions.
