Dear Middle Student (s) and Parent(s)/ Guardian (s),
Welcome to your 2024-2025 school year at Grovetown Middle. Get ready to make your mark! I hope you are as excited as I am about getting this new school year started. I am thrilled to be your teacher, and look forward to a fun and productive year together.
I want to share a few things about myself. My name is Ms. Valecia Pope and I am an 8th grade Georgia Studies teacher, however, this year I have the pleasure of teaching “Career Readiness”. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and I have my Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in K-12. I have 10 plus years of classroom experience. Teaching has forever been my heart, and I am passionate about the education of our youth. I value your input, and I thank you in advance for your support during this exciting school year.
In my classroom, I work hard to promote a rapport with students and parents. I will provide a learning environment that is encouraging, safe, fair, and fun. I work hard all year long doing this by building a classroom that encourages risk-taking, critical thinking, respect, trust, and a sense of ownership among students. I truly understand the enormity of my job and I relish the responsibility and the rewards. My goal is to challenge students and watch them grow to their full potential. I also believe that parents, teachers, and students must work as a team to achieve our highest potential.
Let’s get ready to have a year that will Engage, Enrich, and Inspire!!!!!
Sincerely,
Ms. Pope
