Welcome to the LMS Chorus Website! The Panther Chorus is a musical team of students at Lakeside Middle School who strive for excellence in singing and is open for all students. We perform music in concerts and participate in special events. Our Vision is to build a community where students hold each other accountable while they support and grow together—musically and personally.

ONE VOICE, ONE TEAM
This year, everything we do will be guided by the theme: One Voice, One Team. This phrase represents the two core values we aim to embody in our ensemble.
One Voice is our musical goal. It’s the beautiful sound we create when we move beyond singing as individuals and learn to truly listen to one another. It's about blending our unique voices (matching our pitch, tone, and vowels)to create a single, resonant, and powerful sound. Achieving this 'one voice' is how we will bring our music to life and share our story with the audience.
One Team is our community goal. A choir is the ultimate team. There are no benchwarmers; every singer is a crucial starter. To succeed, we must rely on each other. This means being responsible for learning our own parts, supporting our neighbors when they struggle, and celebrating our collective achievements. We will build a culture of respect, trust, and encouragement where every student feels they belong.
Ultimately, we cannot achieve One Voice without first becoming One Team. The trust we build as teammates is what allows us to be vulnerable, listen deeply, and unite our voices. I am so excited to see our students grow as both musicians and teammates this year!
