At Open House on Thursday, July 31, a Sign-Up table will be located in the gym for all 5th graders who wish to participate in Safety Patrol for the 2025-2026 school year. If you have questions regarding Safety Patrol, Mrs. Vaught will be available that evening to answer those for you.
Attn Safety Patrol Parents:
I look forward to working with your son or daughter, as well as with you. Safety Patrol Officers have a great deal of responsibility and so do the parents. The expectations for parents are listed below.
It is very important that your son or daughter arrive to Greenbrier Elementary no earlier than 8:05 and no later than 8:10 in the morning.
If your son or daughter is going to be absent or not present for one of their shifts (morning or afternoon), please notify Mrs. Vaught at rvaught@ccboe.net as soon as you can.
Safety Patrol Officers are out on duty in all kinds of weather conditions, please have them dressed appropriately and prepared. We have umbrellas for them to use.
In regards to afternoon dismissal. Mrs. Vaught will need to know how each Safety Patrol Officer is to go home (walker, car rider, after school program, walk to middle of high school to meet parent who is an employee at the school, ect). If your child uses the bus – you will need to make arrangements for them to get home an alternate way. If your child is a car rider, please plan to arrive before 4:00 in the car rider line (which is located in the back of the school) to pick up your child. If you have other children to pick up, they can wait till 4:00 when you pick up your SPO or you can pick them up and then pull around and park in a parking spot until 4:00 – your choice. (NOTE – NO GOLF CARTS IN CAR LINE PLEASE!)
