I am so excited to be inspiring and growing a love of math in our 5th graders this year! I am passionate about teaching math and helping my students develop a deep understanding of it. I was raised in Macon, GA and graduated from the University of Georgia in 2008 with Bachelor's degrees in International Affairs and History. I discovered my passion for teaching and went on to get my Master's in Teaching from Augusta State University in 2011. I have both my math and gifted endorsement. This is my 12th year teaching, my 11th year in fifth grade, and my 13th year at NCE (I had the honor of having Mrs. Kitchens as my mentor for student teaching in 2011)! I spend my free time reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband of 11 years, Erik, 10-year-old daughter Delaney, 8-year-old son Barrett, our 5 year old twin boys McAuley and Everett, and energetic mutt Captain.
