Late Work and Reassessment
Policy Procedures
If work is being turned in late, or a reassessment is needed, you MUST follow these procedures.
As a general rule, if it has been over two weeks since the original due date of the assignment, it is no longer available for resubmission or assessment.
Late Work Policy and Procedure
Contact Ms. Wargo immediately through email
Must include your name, class period and assignment that is late/overdue/incomplete/you would like to reassess on
The email must have a subject/title (it should not show-up as unknown or no title)
The email should be clear, concise, and professional
Complete the Late Work/Reassessment Form (can be found in our classroom)
Fill out the form entirely
Be honest
Address the issue you were experiencing (personal, academic, etc. that hindered you from performing your best or completing this assignment)
Make a plan
Set a new deadline for yourself (should be included on the form)
Explain what steps you will take to complete the assignment or improve your grade
Explain what specific things you are going to do differently
If you have missed or skipped multiple days of class, wasted class time/been a distraction, or chosen not to turn in any classwork and homework, Ms. Wargo has the right to turn down your request. The final decision is left to the discretion of the teacher.
Reassessment Policy and Procedure
Contact Ms. Wargo immediately through email
Must include your name, class period and assignment name that is late
The email must have a subject
The email should be clear, concise, and professional
Complete the Reassessment Form (in our classroom)
Fill out the form entirely
Be honest
Address the issue you were experiencing
Prepare for the reassessment
You must show proof of study
Must be taken within a 10 day window of the original assessment
Must take place outside of class time
If you have missed or skipped multiple days of class, wasted class time/been a distraction, or chosen not to turn anything in, Ms. Wargo has the right to turn down your request. The final decision is left to the discretion of the teacher.
