Parent communication
Parent communication is extremely important to me. I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year. Our class is a family. I am available via Class Dojo and email to answer any questions and concerns you may have. I will send a weekly newsletter every Friday afternoon and will also send periodic updates on our class through Class Dojo. The best way to reach me is through Dojo.
I send pictures through Dojo on theme days and party days to help you feel like you are part of our classroom family

About me
My name is Krysta Pemberton. This is my thirteenth year in education and my second year in first grade. I have also taught kindergarten, computer lab, and 2nd grade. I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. I love First Grade! I love seeing students at this age learn and grow in their reading fluency. Their creativity and curiosity also inspire me as I strive to help them develop a life-long love of learning and sense of self-worth that they will take with them throughout the remainder of their school journey.
