Hello, my name is Ms. Avret and I teach ELA at Evans High School. I have always had a passion for reading and hope that (even if only a little) I can make all of my students enjoy some aspect of reading as well. I graduated from Harlem High School and graduated with a double major in English and Education. This will be my 8th year teaching English Literature in high school. I believe that any student can be a great reader and writer if they come in with a POSITIVE attitude and a willingness to learn! Always be willing to try new things - even if they seem scary at first - have the open mind to try out books that don't look like your thing and engage. I bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the classroom, and I hope that you bring yours ~
