About Ms. Kemp

I was born in Lawrenceville, GA, which is located in Gwinnett County. I grew up going to school in Gwinnett County, and I lived there until I went away to college. I attended the University of North Georgia, in Dahlonega, where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education with a reading endorsement. While I was in school, my family moved to Lake Oconee. I decided I wanted to live closer to my family, and moved to Columbia County to teach in this great school district.

I developed my passion for teaching when I was in high school. One of my teachers recommended me for the "Teaching as a Profession" class at my school. I decided to take the course, and absolutely fell in love with education and working with students.

This is my first year teaching at Grovetown Elementary. I am already loving this school, the county, and all of my colleagues. I am so excited to begin this school year with your students!
