Reading

This year, our fourth graders continue the important transition from learning to read, to reading to learn. Our reading series is organized into thematic modules, each containing five engaging stories centered around one overarching idea. These stories not only inspire deeper thinking but also serve as entry points for introducing the Georgia Standards of Excellence in Language Arts.

Social Studies

Students will explore the birth of the United States, beginning with the Declaration of Independence and the key conflicts that followed in the fight for freedom. Through the examination of historical artifacts, documents, and visual materials, students will discover how these items helped shape the course of our country's development.
🗺️ They’ll also analyze how America’s maps have evolved since the 1700s, gaining insight into territorial growth, changing boundaries, and our nation’s ever-shifting identity.
