Hello! I'm Krista Ashburn and this will be my 21st year of teaching! I'm a native to Augusta and attended all Richmond County schools. I graduated from Georgia Southern University (Go Eagles!) with a bachelors in Child and Family Development and Augusta State University (as it was called back in the day) with a Masters in Early Childhood Education. I've been married to my amazing husband Heath for 15 years and we have two beautiful boys, Holden (12) who is starting 7th grade at Stallings Island Middle and Hudson (9) who will be in 4th grade at Stevens Creek with me. We have a 3yr old rescue mutt named Blue in honor of his beautiful eyes! He has been the perfect addition to our family. This is my 11th year at Stevens Creek and I have loved every moment. I taught for 10 years in Richmond County at some really great schools as well. I have experience in pre-k and 1st grade, but kindergarten has my heart. I'm a HUGE Atlanta Braves fan and some of my hobbies include reading, the gym, going to live music shows, biking, camping, kayaking, fishing, hunting, hiking (anything outdoors really!), and spending time with all my boys. I'm looking forward to a great year with you all and can't wait to watch your babies grow in their learning.
