Welcome to Mrs.Alexander's second-grade class page. I am so excited to be with your child this year as we grow and learn together.
Hello, Families, I am so thrilled to be your child’s second-grade teacher this year. As we begin this exciting adventure together, we must become partners in your child’s education together.
This is my 7th year teaching second grade.
Professional, I have my undergrad in Early Childhood Education my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and my Specialist in Advanced Curriculum Studies. I also have my Gifted and PBIS Endorsement!
Personally, I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 16 years and we have a 3-year-old son named, Press. He is my entire world and then some. You will hear many stories about him throughout the year.
What Are We Learning?
Phonics:
We are working on building fluency through practicing letter patterns and decoding new words daily.
Reading:
Make sure to be reading at least 20 mins a night.
Writing:

Using math strategies to count and add and subtract to 20
