Meet the Teacher
Hi! My name is Stephanie Trupp and I am going to be your Kindergarten teacher! This will be my sixth year at Parkway. Prior to teaching in K, I taught first grade and worked as a paraprofessional at Parkway. That is super exciting since I have had lots of time to get to know a lot of the kids at Parkway! I have taught for 14 years in grades Pre-k, Kindergerten, K-1 and 1st grade in Georgia and Colorado. I have worked in all elementary grade levels(Prek-5) as a permanent substitute teacher and paraprofessional.
I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education in 1995. I have taught in coastal Georgia, the mountains of Colorado and even home-schooled our own boys when they were younger. I love the learning , exploring and fun we will all get to have!
I love teaching reading readiness and can't wait to help students develop skills as readers and expose them to new reading adventures.
I am married to the best husband, Austin and have three amazing sons, A.J. (22), who is in his senior year in college at GSU. He began his college career on a baseball scholarship and now as he goes into his last college year he owns and operates two businesses. Our two younger sons are Baron (18), who just graduated from GHS and is about to begin his freshman year at UGA studying engineering and physics. He is a very talented artist and is an Eagle Scout. His senior year he won the Congressional Art Show competition for our district and his painting gets the honor of being hung in our US Capitol building for this entire year. Cole (17) is a senior this year at GHS who enjoys football, baseball and playing the guitar. They are now all taller than me and my husband and the joys of our lives every day! We are so incredibly proud of each of them!
I can't wait to spend this next year learning and growing with you!
