Meet the Teacher

This is my 29th year teaching and I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grades.  I earned my Educational Specialist degree in Advanced Educational Studies from Augusta University, my Masters degree from Georgia Southern, and my undergrad from the University of North Texas. I am originally from Fort Worth, Texas and all of my family still lives there.  I have been married for 31 years to my husband Paul and we have 26 year old triplet sons. Our middle son Luke got married last year to a wonderful girl named Taylor, and Sam just got married to Olivia! We also have a 2 1/2 year old Bernedoodle named Millie that adds joy to our lives.  

My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the wonder in a child's eyes when they learn something new.  I work hard to build a sense of family and community in my classroom, so building relationships with my students and helping them build relationships with each other is a top priority.  We are going to have a fantastic year and you will be amazed by all your child has learned by the end of the year!! I can't wait to meet my new Kindergarteners!!
