Updated Walker Dismissal Procedures

• Walker Group A: 

  • Students who reside in the West Forrest area toward Highway 221:

    • NHE Faculty and walkers will exit using the double doors located on the side of the school, near the smaller playground.  

    • NHE faculty will cross students using the crosswalk located directly in front of the double doors. Parents will wait for students on the sidewalk. 

    • Parents will receive a walker transportation number at Open House. This number will be used to verify your identity during dismissal to ensure your child is released safely. 

• Walker Group B

  • Students who reside in the direction of West Boundary Street toward Fairview Drive:

    • Walkers will exit using the double doors located at the back of the school, across from the main playground. 

    • NHE Faculty will escort students to the release point (indicated on the map) at the intersection of West Boundary and West Forest Street.

    •  Parents will receive a walker transportation number at Open House. This number will be used to verify your identity during dismissal to ensure your child is released safely.

Transportation changes must be submitted in the form of a hand written note from the parent.  If an emergency change occurs, please call the office at 706.556.5995
