While this is my fourth year teaching at Lakeside High School, I have taught 9th ELA for years in Richmond County.  I am originally from West Virginia and have a bachelor's degree in English Education and Library Media Technology.  I earned my Master's degree in Secondary Education with ESOL certification from Georgia Southern AND my Specialist's degree in Advanced Educational Studies and Gifted education from AU!

I am a HUGE nerd and I love geeky things like dungeons and dragons, video games (PS5 and Nintendo Switch!), reading AND writing, and am a dedicated Ravenclaw.  Feel free to talk to me about some shared nerdy interests before or after class, and I eagerly encourage you to find ways to include WHATEVER you love in your reading and writing for my course.

Speaking of my course, I teach 9th ELA all day, everyday!  We will be doing a LOT of reading and writing, and, because of the craziness of the world, much of our work will be through Google classroom.  If you go to the page that corresponds with whatever period you are in, you will find more information on how to get into Google classroom and many other things related to your specific course.
