Our units are sequential and must be continuously practiced in order to build understanding and a proper foundation!


I strongly ENCOURAGE and SUGGEST daily fact fluency practice in all four operations!

  • Students need to understand Addition in order to understand multiplication.

  • Students need to understand Subtraction in order to understand division.

  • Students should understand that multiplication and division are inverse operations

  • Students need to know how & when to use all 4 operations!! Next year they'll work on word problems that involve multiple steps!

  • Division and fractions are also related! Each whole is being divided into equal parts (the denominator tells how many pieces it's divided into)
