Meet Mrs. Elmore

My name is Elaina Elmore and I am so excited to be your child's kindergarten teacher. I have been teaching for 12 years and I absolutely love it! I have taught fourth grade, second grade, and kindergarten... and I must admit, I have a heart for these littles!!! I LOVE to watch kindergartners learn and explore! The growth that is made during a child's kindergarten year, both academically and personally, is the most rewarding and heartwarming thing-- I can't wait to experience that with your child this year!

A little about myself: I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia and went to Columbia County schools from kindergarten to 12th grade! I attended Augusta State University, where I obtained my bachelor degree in Early Childhood, my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and my Specialist degree in Advanced Studies in Education! I also have my gifted endorsement. 

When I am not teaching, I love spending time on the farm. I am a volunteer and board member at Cooper Ridge Farm in Appling, GA. I also enjoy playing with my sweet furbaby, Honey (a 7 year old Havanese). I love spending quality time with family and friends! I got married to my husband, Daniel, on October 11th last year and we are starting our family this year! We will be welcoming a sweet baby boy in September! <3

While I am out on Maternaty Leave, your child will be in EXCELLENT care! Mrs. Nichols will still be here everyday with them and Mrs. Kimberly Fransico will be subbing for me! She is a retired kindergarten and first grade teacher. She taught here, at BRE, for 30 years before retiring a few years ago, but has been substituting and working our before school program since then! If you have any quetsions or concerns while I am out, please reach out to her or the school.

P.S.- I know that this year may come with some challenges and many new learning experiences for us all, but please know that I am up for the challenge and willing to learn and grow with you and your child! I may not always have the answers, but I will always go the extra mile to help you, and TOGETHER, we will figure this thing out! :)
