The Extended Care program operates daily before school from 6:45 A.M. to 8:10 A.M. Students who participate in the school breakfast program will have the opportunity to eat breakfast at 7:50 A.M. (Before Care does not provide breakfast). When the morning bell rings at 8:10 A.M. students are released to go to their homerooms.
After school care is provided from 3:45 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. The program is offered on regularly scheduled school days that students attend - Click Here for the 25/26 CCBOE calendar. We do offer after care until 6:00 P.M. on half days. We are closed during scheduled school holidays and staff development days.
A yearly (non-refundable) fee of $25 per child is due upon registration. This fee will be collected annually in the Fall or before services are needed.
All charges are for the week. If a child attends one day, the weekly rate will be charged to their account. Weekly payment is required to hold your spot in the program, regardless of attendance.
*Children placed in after care due to the following reasons;
● not picked up from car rider line by 4:00,
● brought back by the bus due to an adult not being outside to get them off the bus,
● not picked up from Good News Club/Tutoring by 5:00,
● placed in morning care due to the student(s) being dropped off before our 8:10 bell;
will be charged a $10.00 emergency placement fee and must be paid upon pick up.
Before School Weekly Fee: $20.00*p/c
Afternoon School Weekly Fee: $45.00*p/c
Before & After School Weekly Fee: $65.00*p/c
Any checks returned by the bank for insufficient funds will be charged an additional $25 processing fee by Camp Eagle’s Nest. After two returned checks are processed on any account, only cash or money orders will be accepted.
Payment is due by Friday for the following week attending. If you prefer to pay monthly, payments must be made by the first Tuesday of the month. Any accounts are one week past due will receive a written notice. Any Accounts that are two weeks past due will be terminated and the child will be withdrawn from the program. A new $25 registration fee will be charged to be readmitted to the program (pending availability), after the account is paid in full.
Any account with an unpaid balance on Friday will be charged a $10 late fee until the balance is paid in full.
The drop-off and pick-up area, for Camp Eagle’s Nest Before and After Care programs, is at the cafeteria door (left side of the school).
Morning Care: During drop off (6:45-8:09) close to our bus arrival (8:10), please do not park on the curb, find a parking spot to walk your student in. Please do not sit in your car for a period of time before bringing your students in, this could cause a backup with other parents coming in and possibly buses. If you are arriving at 8:10, we ask that you please go through our car line as morning care has ended.
Aftercare: We ask that pick up start after 4:00, if you need to pick up between 3:40 – 4:00 please utilize our car line to pick up your students - and notify your students teacher by 12:10 for the change. The entrance for our after care is our bus lane.
A PARENT MUST sign their child in and out daily. This is for the safety of your child. We greatly appreciate your cooperation with this matter.
Students will only be released to adults that are listed on the child’s registration sheet. We will not allow your child to leave with anyone not listed. In instances when it is necessary for someone different to pick your child up, a signed note is required from the parent. Parents must pick up children no later than 6:00 P.M. There will be a $1.00 per minute fee, per child, for children that are picked up after 6:00P.M.
**After the third occurrence, your child will be withdrawn from the program.
We encourage students in grades 1 – 5 to work on their homework assignments while they are attending the After School program. After snack time, students are offered a quiet area so that homework may be completed for a duration of 30 minutes. The staff will assist those students needing help. The staff is not responsible for completion of any child’s homework, checking for accuracy, or checking the folders for homework. Please be sure to check your child’s HW folder and planner.
Students should bring all books, paper, pencils, and other necessary supplies to complete homework each day. Children are not permitted to leave the “After School” program and return to their classrooms at any time.
If we have an emergency involving your child, we will follow normal emergency procedures. If your child is injured seriously, we will apply first aid, call 911, and contact you. Be sure to keep us updated as to changes in phone numbers, emergency contacts, and any other pertinent information.
You may need the Martinez tax ID number to receive childcare tax credit. This information will be available the last week of January. 58-6000217
Attendance is a privilege based on adhering to school rules. The children enjoy Camp Eagle’s Nest Extended Care Program and normally behave very well. We treat the children with respect and encourage them to treat others with respect. We do not allow running indoors, destruction of equipment, foul language, etc. Disrespect, defiance, and disruptive behavior will be dealt with immediately.
A child may be reviewed for dismissal from the program for inappropriate behavior at any time, at the discretion of the school principal and director.
We ask that you notify the coordinator, in writing through letter or email, if your child will be withdrawing from the program. If the director is not notified by written letter or email, charges will continue to be added to the account until notified of withdrawal.
