Welcome to the LMS Band

Our band is better because you are a part of it.

Lakeside Middle School is a part of the Lakeside Band family, which includes Stallings Island Middle School and Lakeside High School. The LMS band works in close collaboration with these programs to create our cohesive 7 year band experience.

Our program consists of three grade level bands, one jazz band, and a football pep band. We believe in holding ourselves to a high level of excellence, creating a community where we are safe, and staying open to new ideas.

ABOUT MRS. LADUN-NELSON

I joined Lakeside Middle School's faculty in 2022, and this will be my sixth year of teaching.

I graduated from Evans High School in 2016, and received my Bachelor's in Music Education from Augusta University in 2021, where I worked as a student assistant and the Wind Ensemble Librarian. I recently completed my Masters in Music Education at the American Band College of Central Washington University this summer!

In Spring 2021, I completed my student teaching at Lakeside High School with Mr. Tau and Mr. Best, and have worked as a marching band instructor with the Pride of the Panthers Marching Band since Fall 2021. I also serve as the director of the Middle School Wind Symphony through the Augusta University Conservatory Program.

I still love playing and performing as I am able, and I am currently a member of the Savannah River Winds and Augusta Concert Band!

I have been married to my best friend, Jakob, for two years! Outside of the band room, I can be found taking care of my collection of plants, playing with our two pups, or going on a run!
