Scholarships are a great way to help finance a college education because they are essentially free money 

students can use to pay tuition, purchase books and supplies, and help with room and board.

1795 Scholarship - The 1795 Scholarship awards eligible USC Beaufort students with a $1,000 per semester scholarship to be applied to Beaufort Campus Housing. There is also an "Out-of-State Tuition Waiver" opportunity offered by USCB which may be of interest. 

Alex Newton Scholarship - This renewable, $500 per semester scholarship is available for any graduating high school senior that pursues a STEM-related field at Augusta Technical College and is a resident of Burke, Columbia, McDuffie, Richmond, or Warren county. The applicant shall enroll as a full-time student at Augusta Technical College in order to be eligible. The application deadline is March 18, 2022. 

Alpha Epsilon Scholarship - This year, our chapter, Alpha Epsilon, is awarding $1,000.00 scholarship to a high school senior or college student.  The scholarship is awarded in May at the Alpha Epsilon chapter meeting.  Postmark deadline is March 15, 2023.

Awesome Dynamic Scholarship - At Awesome Dynamic, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree. The awarded student will receive $1,000 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree.

Augusta Sports Council GAMES Scholarship - The GAMES Scholarship began in 2011 as part of the Augusta Sports Council’s annual G.A.M.E.S. Awards which was an annual program created to highlight outstanding amateur athletes who represented a broad spectrum of sports disciplines in the area. To date, the Augusta Sports Council has awarded over $48,000 in college scholarships to 38 graduating high school student athletes in the Augusta community.

AUSA Greater Augusta - Fort Gordon Chapter 2021 Scholarship - AUSA Greater Augusta-Fort Gordon Chapter 2021 Scholarship now taking applicants! 

Bob Snead Memorial Scholarship and Carol & Ev Greenwood Memorial Scholarship - Both the Bob Snead Memorial Scholarship ($2,000) and the Carol & Ev Greenwood Memorial Scholarship ($1,000) are now open. Barack Court #233 Scholarship-This scholarship is open to any qualified graduating student with has a cumulative grade point average equal to or greater than 2.5 and a financial need.

Barack Temple No. 256 Scholarship - This scholarship is open to any qualified graduating student who has a cumulative grade point  average equal to or greater than 3.50. In addition, the applicant must be a graduating high school  senior and intend to be a full-time enrolled student. Late submissions will not be accepted nor considered.

Blake Hadden Memorial Scholarship - The scholarship, established by The Cricket Foundation, was created to assist in fostering and promoting higher education through the funding and distribution of scholarships for student athletes who excel both academically and in their athletic performances.

Buddy Hendry Criminal Justice Scholarship - The Robert L. “Buddy” Hendry Criminal Justice Scholarship is given annually in Buddy’s memory to honor his commitment to faith, family, and service to others. In keeping with this goal, applications are accepted for one-time $1000.00 scholarships to be used toward full-time post-secondary education at an accredited college or university. The Criminal Justice scholarships are open to high school seniors having at least a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) or equivalent, and who are pursuing an education, majoring in Criminal Justice, law enforcement, or similar field. The award must be applied to full-time schooling, with a declared major in Criminal Justice or law enforcement pathway, starting the fall of that same calendar year. Winners will be notified by mail.

Carrie L. Williams Pink Scholarship - The Carrie L. Williams Pink Scholarship aims to offer aid in dealing with the financial burden that college can bring.  This $1000 scholarship is designed to support a minority high school senior who is interested in obtaining a degree from a 2 or 4 year college.  This scholarship will be presented to one student who has excelled in their high school and community alike.

Choices - A Lifetime Development Inc. Scholarship - This $1000 scholarship is open for graduating seniors who have been accepted to a 4 or 2 year school after high school. The deadline to apply is April 8, 2022.

Citizens for Nuclear Technology Awareness Essay Contest Scholarship - Students, check out this awesome scholarship essay contest for local juniors and seniors! High school juniors and seniors in Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, Burke, Columbia, Edgefield and Richmond County schools are eligible to submit entries. The winning student(s) will receive a $1,000 scholarship with an additional award of $500 to a set of second place finishers.  CNTA is a grassroots organization comprised of individuals, families and businesses dedicated to raising the level of awareness of nuclear technologies. Over the course of the essay scholarship program, CNTA has awarded over $75,000 to deserving students. The deadline is February 28, 2022.

COAG Scholarship -The COAG Scholarship is open to any Georgia high school senior (or a GED equivalency dated December 31, 2020 to May 31, 2021) who is a United States and Georgia citizen graduating by the spring of 2021. You must be seeking an undergraduate degree, not a diploma, certification, master’s or doctoral degree. *Please see document listed below

College Board BigFuture Scholarship - College Board BigFuture Scholarships--Earn entries in monthly drawings for $500 and $40,000 scholarships by completing steps to plan for life after high school. Every month, BigFuture will award hundreds of $500 scholarships and two $40,000 scholarships until February of your senior year. The scholarships awarded by BigFuture can be used at two and four year institutions. ​ 

Columbia County Democratic Party Scholarship- The Columbia County Democratic Party Scholarship Application is open for seniors who reside in Columbia County. This is a $500 scholarship, and students must have at least a 3.0 gpa. 

Columbia County Exchange Club (ACE) Scholarship - The A.C.E. (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Award recognizes high school students who have had to overcome great physical, emotional, or social obstacles and is now eligible for high school graduation. The Exchange Club of Columbia County is pleased to be able to offer this award and a check for $2,000 again this year to the student who best represents the mission of the A.C.E. Award.

Columbia County Exchange Club CTAE Scholarship - Our scholarship will be awarded to the student who best articulates the mission of Exchange. Please include a letter of no more than 500 words that outlines your personal thoughts of the below mission and its importance in our community.

Columbia County Foundation for Children Scholarships - Columbia County Foundation for Children (CCFC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit which awards need-based educational scholarships to qualified applicants, up to age 22, for academic or technical training beyond high school. Scholarship funds are made possible by income earned from sales at the resource center as well as contributions from local businesses and community leaders.  Scholarships are awarded based on an applicant's demonstrated financial need, career goals, written recommendation, personal statements, and personal interview. Scholarships are renewable as long as applicant remains eligible.

Configure One Scholarship - At Configure One, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree in the areas of mathematics, engineering, or science. The awarded student will receive $1,000 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree.

Console and Associates Legal Scholarship - $1, 000 scholarship for aspiring law, pre-law, and paralegal studies students.

CSRA Community Foundation Scholarships

There is nothing quite so important as an education, and we are proud to organize and administer scholarship programs for deserving students from throughout our six-county area.

Our donors believe in the power of education and have chosen to make a difference by helping deserving students pursue their dreams of higher education. We have multiple scholarship funds established by donors so youth across our region can improve their lives and ultimately our community by continuing their education.

Most of the scholarships managed by the Community Foundation are available for students who will graduate from high school in the spring of the current year and plan to continue their education in the fall, and we will welcome and consider all applications.

Davidson College Belk Scholarship

The Belk Scholarship will provide you comprehensive funding (tuition, fees, room and board) plus special study stipends that allow you great flexibility in the on- and off-campus opportunities you choose to explore. Those experiences, paired with our academic programs, deepen your intellect, maturity, and global understanding.

Davidson College - James B. Duke Scholarship

The James B. Duke Scholarship recognizes students whose academic achievement, diverse talents, work ethic, resilience, and concern for others give evidence of their capacity to make a difference in the world. Five new James B. Duke Scholars will be named in each entering class.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority - Louise A. Rice Scholarship

The Louise A. Rice Scholarship Application from the Greater Columbia County Alumnae Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is now open! The deadline is February 11, 2022. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, international public service sorority compromised of more than 200,000 predominately African-American, college educated women. Since its founding in 1913, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has established itself as an organization that strives to confront the problems, primarily of African Americans, thereby benefiting the global community. A wide range of programs addressing education, health, international development, and the strengthening of the community have emerged and evolved over the years. Encouraging young women to achieve excellence through higher education is a primary focus of our organization and local chapter. The Greater Columbia County Alumnae Chapter (GCCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. supports this focus by awarding scholarships to young women who exemplify academic excellence, strong leadership, and community involvement.

Democratic Party 2022 Scholarship

The Columbia County Democratic Party Scholarship will award a senior a $500 scholarship. Students must be a resident of Columbia County, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, and be committed to attend a 2 or 4 year institution as a full time student after graduation. Dreams to Kings and Queens Scholarship

This scholarship is open to Class of 2022 high school seniors planning to attend college this Fall. There will be two winners (1 boy, 1 girl). Each winner will receive $1,000.

This scholarship contest will not require any writing, but will require students to use their creativity and make a video answering one of the questions below:

1.   What makes you genuinely happy in life?

2.   How do you plan on accomplishing your goals?

3.   What are you grateful for?

Elevate Mental Health Awareness Scholarship

Each year, we award $750 in scholarships to high-achieving, high school students who have been affected in some way by the increasing prevalence of mental health challenges.

Elks National Foundation - Most Valuable Student Scholarship

The 20 top finalists will participate in an all expenses paid Leadership Weekend in Chicago during which they’ll interview with the national judges. These 20 finalists will be vying for two first-place awards of $50,000; two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000.

Garden Club Scholarship

The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., continues to provide scholarships to deserving Georgia college students majoring in any garden-related subject in an accredited college or university in Georgia. Work Scholarships are also awarded to students for a designated number of hours to be worked at a public botanical garden.

Gates Scholarship 

The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, full scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority, high school seniors. Starting in 2018, the scholarship will be awarded to 300 top student leaders each year with the intent of promoting their academic excellence through college graduation, and providing them the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance* that is not already covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)


Gateway Battalion Army ROTC Scholarship

Our battalion is comprised of nine schools within the St. Louis area.  The schools within our battalion allow our students to achieve their college goals whether it be academically, athletically, or in the military.  Washington University in St. Louis is a top 20 university in the nation, Saint Louis University has one of the top nursing programs in the nation and Lindenwood University has a DII athletic program for those students interested in pursuing athletics throughout college.  Not only can the schools in our battalion help your students reach academic and athletic success, but the Gateway Battalion was recently ranked number 2 out of 270 ROTC programs across the nation.  If your students want to achieve high success in whatever area they are looking to pursue the Gateway Battalion is the best place for your students.  We encourage you to have your students take a look at the universities within our battalion.

This is 2 scholarships.  The Alice Dodd Scholarship for Outstanding Community Service, and the Bobby Dodd Scholarship for Outstanding Community Service (for a physically challenged student.  Both scholarships award $2,500 to 1st place and $1,500 to 2nd place.

GAAR Scholarship 2021-2022

Please find attached information regarding the 2021-22 President’s Youth Scholarship from the Greater Augusta Association of REALTORS®. In the spring of 2022, the Association will be awarding (12) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to graduating seniors. Applications must be completed and returned to the Association by March 18, 2022. 

Greater Augusta Association of REALTORS President's Scholar Program

This $1,000 scholarship is based on academics and extra-curricular activities.  While the scholarship is open to any senior in our county, priority is given to applicants related to REALTOR professionals.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

 HSF awards more than $30 million in Scholarships annually and, depending upon available funds, HSF Scholars may also be eligible to receive a scholarship, which range from $500-$5,000 and awarded directly to students

Horatio Alger Scholarship

Scholarships are given to deserving students each year and range in award value from $10,000 to $25,000. It is geared toward juniors, but the "Targeted Scholarships" tab on their website has scholarships for seniors.

InspirASIAN Scholarship Program

InspirASIAN makes a difference in our community by supporting graduating high school seniors with their college education through our scholarship awards. InspirASIAN awards national scholarships to students residing in any state with a participating local InspirASIAN chapter. All students who apply will be considered for the national scholarships awards. This scholarship is open to students of all nationalities. Students who are not awarded national scholarships will be considered for state scholarships if offered by local InspirASIAN chapters. Deadline is January 31st!

IntelliGenesis Women Supporting Women STEM Scholarship

Angie Lienert, the founder of a women-owned company IntelliGenesis CEO, wants to promote and encourage other women to take risks, challenge themselves, and support each other. This scholarship is a way to provide higher education opportunities and influence growth in STEM fields. This $1500 scholarship is awarded each year to scholars in the state of Georgia. This application form is due by April 15, 2022.

Jabez Sanford Hardin Scholarship

This renewable $2000 scholarship will be awarded to one deserving and qualified senior from GHS who has a demonstrated financial need and has been accepted for enrollment in an accredited college or university in the state of GA. Scholarship application must be turned into your school counselor by March 14, 2022.

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship is a $35,000 scholarship for minority students who have a financial need and also demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential. 

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest Scholarship

The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest for High School Students is officially open! We’re now accepting submissions from high school students for this year’s contest. By submitting an original essay describing a leader who demonstrated political courage as described by President Kennedy in his book, Profiles in Courage, students can win one of 15 scholarship awards for college — including a $10,000 first-place prize. Keila Clark Scholarship

Nursing Scholarship awarded to three Columbia County seniors, in memory of Keila Clark, a former nurse who tragically lost her life in 2016.

KEY Military Sorority, Inc. Scholarship

This is a $1,000 scholarship.  It is for seniors in Columbia or Richmond County who have at least a 3.0 cumulative gpa. 

Leukemia Lymphoma Society Student of the Year Campaign/Scholarship

The Students of the Year Campaign is an eight-week initiative in which nominated High School students participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Georgia Chapter. Nominated students are selected as Student of the Year candidates via a committee. Selection is based upon an application submitted by each interested student. Candidates will raise money in honor of a youth patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. The candidate who raises the most money at the end of the eight weeks is named Student(s) of the Year. The Student of the Year will receive a $2,500 scholarship to a college or university of his/her choice. In addition, one candidate team will be awarded a Citizenship Award. The Citizenship Award winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to a college or university of his/her choice.  

Lewis Cenker Scholarship

The Lewis Cenker Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization created in 1977 by the Home Builders Association of Georgia in honor of the late Lewis B. Cenker ,an outstanding Georgian and a national industry leader. Scholarships are awarded to qualified students seeking a career directly related to the home building industry or high school Career Tech programs related to home building.

Mental Health Movement Scholarship

In partnership with the Mental Health Movement, one of the leading voices breaking the mental health stigma for young people, we're awarding $3,300 in scholarship funding to high school students who have battled with mental health, or who have had a loved one battle with mental health.

Mercer University Engineering Scholarship Challenge

This scholarship competition is open to students interested in pursuing a major in Mercer's School of Engineering. While on campus, students will have the opportunity to earn scholarships by demonstrating their math and verbal skills by completing a standardized test. In addition to the challenge, students will be able to meet Engineering faculty and students, tour labs and facilities, and tour our campus and residence halls.

Merchants Association Golf and Vocational Scholarship

Merchant's Association of Columbia County Golf Scholarship

Attached are two scholarship opportunities from the Columbia County Merchants Association. The Vocational Scholarship Program awards graduates from Columbia County high schools a $1000 scholarships and the Ruby Lane/Terry Davis Golf Tournament Scholarship awards two students a scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Both are due by March 17, 2023. Minimum eligibility requirements for both. See each attachment for specific information.

Molded Dimensions Scholarship

At Molded Dimensions, we are proud to offer a scholarship program for students in the process of pursuing a college degree in STEM. The awarded student will receive $500 to be used towards expenses for his or her degree.

National Honor Society Scholarship

This scholarship is for active members of the National Honor Society.

National Society of The Colonial Dames of America Congressional Seminar Essay Contest

This essay contest is a major project of The NSCDA held under the auspices of the Washington Workshops Foundation, a private nonprofit educational program in American government for high school students.

Winners receive full tuition, including seminar materials, university campus housing, and two meals daily, for a week of citizenship education about the national government, plus fun, new friends, and tours of sites in our nation’s capital.


The NSDAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of degrees in diverse disciplines including history, law, nursing, and education.

The DAR Scholarship Committee awards scholarships to qualified applicants regardless of race, religion or sex. All applicants must be United States citizens. All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance at an accredited college or university in the United States. The only exception is the American Indian Scholarship that is available for students pursuing vocational training.

Omega Psi Phi Scholarship

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is recognizing deserving seniors graduating from high schools in the CSRA. The organization will present a $1,000 scholarship to each winning student.

P.E.O. Star Scholarship

Every year PEO awards the STAR Scholarship to a young woman who is a senior.  She is among the amazing young women who serve to perpetuate all that is right and good in her school, community and world.  She may not be the top student although STAR requires a 3.0 or better unweighted GPA but she works diligently to produce the best she has to offer.  She is actively involved in a wide variety of activities and is a positive role model for her peers.  She is involved throughout her high school years in ways to improve her local community, her state or perhaps the world.  She may not be known by everyone, but her references know her well and take the time to present her in the brightest lights.  She is a kind and caring citizen making others feel comfortable is her trademark. Ron Brown Scholarship

This scholarship is need based for African-American high school seniors.  Ron Brown Scholars receive $40,000 toward the college of their choice and are provided with mentoring, leadership experiences, and service opportunities.

Rotary Club Speech Contest

The Rotary Club of Augusta is accepting contestants for its 2021 speech contest. All high school students, including those who are home schooled, may participate. Contestants must write and pre-sent a 3-4 minute speech on

Rotary’s Four Way Test or theme, Rotary Opens Opportunities. Visit as a resource on speech topics.

Ryan Clark Scholarship 2022

Application is open to any high school student (14-19) enrolled in an accredited High school or Home School Program. Applications must be post marked by April 1, 2021. Top prize is $1,000. See the below document for more information.

Sam Tyson Eagle Scout Scholarship

This one-time $1500 scholarship is available for any graduating high school senior. The applicant must have already earned their Eagle rank and must commit to attending college or other post-secondary education/training in the fall following graduation. Incoming students may be offered a scholarship or other awards from SCAD based on demonstrated academic and/or co-curricular achievement, including leadership, volunteer work, community service or involvement, and artistic accomplishment. Scholarships are available to U.S. and non-U.S. citizens. Students who wish to be considered for achievement scholarships may be asked to provide additional materials as part of their application for admission.

Sergeants Major Association (Fort Gordon) Scholarship

The Sergeants Major Association at Fort Gordon will kick off its annual $1000 scholarship award competition on Friday February 5, 2021. High school seniors who are interested in competing for the award can obtain a scholarship packet by logging onto, once on the homepage, click on the Scholarship tab, print it out and follow the instructions.


Society of Women Engineers (CSRA) Scholarship

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Central Savannah River Area Section (CSRA) is proud to announce the 2020 and 2021 Scholarship Programs. This is the 10th year SWE CSRA is awarding scholarships in the CSRA.  We encourage young women in their senior year of high school in 2021, who plan to major in engineering, math or science OR a 2020 graduate to apply for a scholarship.  Since 2011, SWE CSRA has awarded scholarships totaling over $9,000 due to the generous donations of sponsors.  In 2021, SWE CSRA expects to award at least two scholarships (1 for a 2021 high school graduate and 1 for a 2020 high school graduate).

STEM STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AND HENRY CHESTNUT SCHOLARSHIPS - The Augusta-Fort Gordon Chapter provides $2000 merit-based scholarships for High School Seniors and College Students from the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) who have been accepted into an accredited, full-time bachelor's degree program majoring in engineering, science, mathematics, or computing sciences.  The Chapter also selects two High School Senior applicants each year to receive a $2000 Henry Chestnut Scholarship established by Theresa and Ben Chestnut to fund scholarships for High School Seniors who have been accepted into a college undergraduate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) degree program.

Venus Morris Griffin created this $10,000 scholarship to help deserving high school students with an incarcerated parent to ensure that nothing stops them from reaching their full potential.

William B Glover Memorial Scholarship 

The Augusta Tuskegee Alumni Club was established in 1967 for the purpose of promoting Tuskegee University through recruitment of area high school students and to provide scholarships in an effort to aid with the cost of attending college. The Augusta Tuskegee Alumni Club will award the William B. Glover Memorial Scholarships to area students who plan to attend Tuskegee University in the fall of 2021 if they meet requirements set forth by the Scholarship Committee and selected.

Women in Defense Augusta Chapter Scholarship

The WID AC Scholarship Program will recognize, encourage, and stimulate scientific and academic achievements that will broaden knowledge and technical development within the fields of importance to national security and national security industries. This includes both military and non-military dimensions of national security, such as economic, energy, infrastructure, environmental, food, border, and computer and cyber security.

WID AC’s inaugural Scholarship is named in honor of Grace Brewster Murray Hopper (1906-1992), former United States Navy Rear Admiral, mathematician, computer scientist, and educator, to acknowledge her talent, vision, persistence, and dedication to computing, education, and service (1943-1986) to the nation. The 2021 Grace Brewster Murray Hopper Scholarship of $500 will be awarded to qualifying high school female seniors who have exemplified skills in applying the sciences, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to areas of national security. Applicants must submit the completed application with all required information no later than 11:59 P.M. EST on MONDAY 24 MARCH 2022.
