Georgia High School Association (GHSA) governs high school athletic teams.

The objective of the GHSA organization shall be the promotion of education in Georgia from a mental, physical, and moral viewpoint, to standardize and encourage participation in athletics, and to promote sportsmanship and an appreciation for and study of music, speech, and other fine arts through Region and State competitions.

In 2010, the association opened the doors to the NAIA Eligibility Center, where prospective student-athletes are evaluated for academic and athletic eligibility. It delivers on the NAIA’s promise of integrity by leveling the playing field, guiding student-athlete success, and ensuring fair competition.

The goal of the Lakeside High School Athletics Department is to provide opportunities for student-athletes to excel in teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and moral character. We desire that each Panther develops the capacity for commitment to a cause, acceptance of responsibility, and loyalty to any chosen endeavor. We hope to achieve Georgia Class 6A competitive excellence and to maintain a commitment to our student-athlete’s academic and personal success.

Our athletics program is a source of school and community pride, and we welcome all to be a part. Check out our teams' web pages and join us at our next event.

Go Panthers!

Dear Parents,

Along with several high schools, Lakeside High School is going paperless and will be using the Dragonfly Application for all athletic paperwork. Print the document below. It has instructions on how to download and register on the app:

Dragonfly Signup+Handout.pdf

With this app, you can print a copy of the athletic physical form and take it to the doctor's office. You will then need to scan and upload it in the space provided on the app. You can also fill out the athletic forms within the app (no need to print).

Dexter Mosley Act

During the 2021 legislative session, the Georgia General Assembly passed the Dexter Mosely Act (Senate Bill 42). This legislation authorizes home study students in grades 6- 12 to participate in extracurricular and interscholastic activities in the student’s resident public school system, with the requirement of certain notification and course enrollment provisions.
