Kathy Cassedy


Hi! My name is Kathy Cassedy and I am the Reading Specialist at Lewiston. I received my BA in Early Childhood Education from Augusta College, then my M.Ed. and Ed.S from Augusta State University. I also have my Reading and Gifted Endorsements. I am in my 23rd year of teaching and 15 of those – as an EIP teacher, 2nd and 3rd grade teacher, and Instructional Specialist- have been here at Lewiston. When I am not at school, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family – my husband Collin, two children, and two grandchildren. I also love reading, traveling, and going to my favorite beach- Tybee Island!

Jennifer Shoenholz


Hi! My name is Jennifer Shoenholz. In 2000, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University and gained my Gifted Certification in 2012. I have been teaching in Columbia County for over 17 years. I have been a second grade classroom teacher and taught EIP in all of the grade levels. I am super excited to join the Lewiston faculty as a part time Early Intervention teacher. In my spare time, I like to read, go shopping and hang out with my family. My husband and I have two fantastic kids who also attend Lewiston. Go Lions!!

Hi! My name is Helen Kirkpatrick and I am an early intervention teacher and instructional specialist at Lewiston Elementary! I grew up in Columbia County and attended Evans Elementary, Evans Middle, Evans High, and Greenbrier High during that time. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with my BsEd in Early Childhood Education and later received my MEd from Troy State University. This is my 16th year teaching and I have been at Lewiston through my entire career. My background includes 12 years as a first grade teacher and three years as a fourth grade teacher. I have three children, Makayla (16), Taylor (13), and Ben (13). I love reading, cooking, and traveling in my spare time!
