About Mr. Powell
This is my 15th year of teaching. I taught 6th-8th grade math, reading, and social studies at Greenbrier Middle School for 11 years from 2004-2015. I then worked as the Contemporary Worship Leader and Communications Director at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church from 2015 to 2022. This is my fourth year back to teaching and my fourth year teaching 8th grade math here at CMS.
I have been married for 21 years to my beautiful wife Jennifer Powell. Jennifer is a teacher at South Columbia Elementary. We have three boys; Jacob(18), Luke (16), and Caleb (11). I enjoy going to the movies, playing video games, and visiting Universal Studios with my family.
