Mr. Holmes, J.

Mr. Holmes was born in San Francisco, CA but I am from Seaside, CA.  After graduating from Monterey High I was accepted to Whittier College near L.A.  I attended Whittier for 4 years and obtained a BA in Science then Joined the U.S. Army. I was a Intelligence Specialist in the Army, learned the language of Persian Farsi, and worked with various other services during Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom. In 2007 I exited the Army and joined the Academy of Richmond County teaching team, where I taught Biology and Physical Science.  I was married in 2008 to a wonderful woman who was serving her country in the Air Force, and in 2009 she obtained orders to England. We were stationed in England for 4 years and then moved to CA where I worked at Walter Colton Middle School (the middle school I attended as a child). At Walter Colton I taught Biology and Physical Science once again.  After teaching in CA for 2 years, my wife retired from the Air Force after 20 years and we decided to move back to Augusta. I have two wonderful children Shaelynn and Braden, 12 and 15 years old and we are all looking forward to a new life here in Augusta. I've taught in Richmond County for over 12 years, and look forward to teaching in Columbia County here at Grovetown High.
