Hello...
Hello! I'm Nancye Peel and will be teaching 8th grade Georgia Studies this year. I am excited to start at a new school, new age group and new subject! I love teaching so much I convinced my husband to leave corporate world and start teaching recently. I am a native to the CSRA and have one child beginning 9th grade in the county and another who recently graduated and now attends UGA. I love to travel, having new experiences, gardening, spend time with family and playing with my 3 labrador retrievers. As a young student, I was once a struggling reader, attended speech therapy, dealt with slow processing and inattentiveness. I NEVER wanted to be a teacher until I was able to overcome or manage these obstacles. Now I passionate about sharing the keys and many tricks to helping students understand and love the way their brains work.
Despite many moves, time and time again, I kept coming home to Georgia. My father, a former Marine & small business owner and my mother, a social studies leader in Richmond County, most of our family talks and vacations were related to history. As a young adult I just wanted to get out. I realized after starting my family why Georgia was the best place for me to be to live, work and raise a family.
Please always feel free to reach out to me: Nancye.peel@ccboe.net
