The Learning Commons is an extension of each classroom and the same expectations are set for students as they enter and exit. Food, drinks, gum, and candy are not permitted in the LC. Silence is NOT EXPECTED, but a quite inside voice is!!

Students are allowed to check out two books at a time and are loaned out for a maximum of 30 days. If a student looses or damages a book a fine will be assessed. Reference books, magazines, and newspapers are available for use, but cannot be checked out by the students.

The HMS Learning Commons has multiple areas for students to read silently, study, conduct research, or complete assignments.
Collaboration
Collaboration
One key component of the Learning Commons is collaboration between students and/or teachers. The HMS LC has the perfect location for such business. The DOG House!!
