What can you expect from American Lit?
This course offers opportunities to improve reading, writing, speaking/listening, and critical thinking skills through the study of American literature. It includes a variety of literary genres and multicultural writers in a chronological or thematic pattern. It emphasizes developing control in expository writing (thesis support) and moving toward precision in personal narrative, descriptive, and persuasive writing. It refines research skills. It integrates grammar, mechanics, and usage into the writing process.
In this section you will be able to access what we did in class each day. This should be the first place you look when and if you are absent. Videos, PDF's and assignments will also be linked. Work will also be posted in Google Classroom for you to access as well. It will be your responsibility to check in and advocate for yourself!
