Online Recovery Class Information

Georgia CREDIT RECOVERY - no fee

If you are using Georgia Credit Recovery, you will need to go to https://gavs.geniussis.com/PublicWelcome.aspx using Mozilla/Firefox or Chrome browsers only.

Click on Create a Student Account in the middle of the screen. Complete the profile to create your account. All yellow fields are required. Click save. An email with your username and password will be sent to the email address entered. Make sure you include an email that you can access.

Once you login, from the DASHBOARD, your current enrollments will be displayed in the center page.
Click LAUNCH to go directly into the course.

For issues with the platform, contact GaCR support - CONTACT SUPPORT on the left task menu. Enter your question/request in the ticket. GaCR will contact you within 24 school hours.

If you class expires before it is completed, you will be charge a $25 enrollment fee.

**ALL TESTS AND EXAMS MUST BE PROCTORED BY A TEACHER OR STAFF MEMBER DURING CLASS OR IN AN AFTERSCHOOL SESSION NY APPOINTENT.**


eDMENTUM - FEE REQUIRED

If you are taking courses through Edmentum, you will log in using Class Link.
At school, you can access Class Link through the Icon on the school desktop.

From home, you can access the link on the Grovetown High School website under the student tab.

CCSD Online Learning costs $50 per half-credit and is self-paced.

Unit post-tests, final exams and associated EOCs must be proctored by an approved CCBOE proctor.

gEORGIA VIRTUAL SCHOOL

· GAVS is an online learning platform that is facilitated by a GAVS teacher. Students can earn credits for remediation and enrichment.

· Final exams must be proctored by a CCBOE approved proctor. · GAVS fees are specified at www.gavirtualschool.org. Fees are assessed for GAVS if the course is outside of the student’s seven period day. GAVS courses that are one of the student’s seven class periods is free to the student. If a GAVS course is part of the student’s 7 period day, the course can only be dropped if within the GAVS deadline to receive a refund to avoid a 65 recorded on the transcript.

· GAVS courses are not self-paced. Assignments, due dates and late penalties are set by the GAVS teacher.

· Any concerns with your GAVS grades must be addressed to the GAVS teacher. Your home school is not responsible for any issues with your GAVS course or grade.

· If the student does not report to take the EOC assessment/final exam as scheduled, it is the student’s responsibility to contact the counselor and provide written medical or judicial documentation for the absence.

NCAA DIVISION i AND ii elegibility regulation

Credits earned through non-traditional providers e.g., Georgia Credit Recovery, GAVS, CCSD are solely for the purpose of meeting graduation requirements for the Columbia County School District. Credits earned as a result of coursework completed outside of the traditional classroom setting may not be accepted by post-secondary institutions, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and regulatory agencies. general guidelines

· All online courses must be completed on or before the last day of the semester or as set by the home school.

· There are no refunds for CCSD Online Learning courses.

· Online final exams (including Advanced Placement (AP) course final exams) are not eligible for exemption.

· Students that complete enrichment courses in the summer or courses taken outside of the seven day period have the option to deny or accept the credit and grade for the course.

· Students that withdraw from enrichment courses in the summer or courses taken outside of the seven day period schedule will not be recorded on the transcript.

· CCSD Online Learning and GACR unit post-tests, final exams and associated EOCs must be proctored by an approved CCBOE proctor. For GAVS courses, only final exams must be proctored by a CCBOE approved proctor.
