GTHS Spanish Honor Society

Spanish Honor Society is a student organization that is invitation only based on grades in the Spanish courses. Spanish Honor Society provides cultural enrichment and opportunities to serve the school and local community. Students that are interested, should speak to their Spanish teacher for information on specific eligibility requirements.

Spanish Honor Society (SHS) – GTHS Chapter "El Prado"

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in Spanish III or higher at the time of induction.

• Must maintain a 90 or above average in Spanish to be eligible and remain in good standing.

• Must complete ten volunteer hours every year.

Membership Details:

• If you were previously inducted into SHS at GTHS or another school, you are welcome to continue your membership here.

• Attendance at meetings is required to stay informed about:

  • Volunteer opportunities

  • Attendance policies and other activities

  • Graduation regalia eligibility

Dues:

• Annual dues are $10.50, payable by September of the current school year.

• New members must pay dues prior to induction.
