About

A little about me....

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Concentration in Design from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, but did not become a teacher until after moving to Georgia.  I worked for US Advertising, a promotional products company that made anything you could think of with a logo on it.  After attending a teacher recruitment fair in Macon, I taught for five years at H.G. Weaver Middle School (Macon), two years at Glenn Hills High School (Augusta), and 7 years at Harlem Middle School and now a proud member of the Warrior Nation.  In May 2016, I graduated from Augusta University with a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction where I was awarded Outstanding Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction for 2016.  At the same time I received my Reading Endorsement and received my ESOL endorsement in 2018. I finished my Educational Specialist Degree in Advanced Educational Studies at Augusta University in July 2023 where my electives were my gifted endorsement.

I truly love what I do.  I may not have started my career as an educator, but I know that it was meant to be for me to be where I am today.  I look forward to working with the students again this school year.
