Welcome to Spanish I & II! My name is Mrs. Southerland, and I am excited to share my passion for the Spanish language and the rich diversity of the Spanish-speaking world with my students.
In our classroom, learning Spanish goes beyond memorizing vocabulary and grammar. My goal is to help students develop the confidence to communicate in authentic, everyday situations while building meaningful connections with people and cultures around the world. Through interactive lessons, real-world experiences, and cultural exploration, students will discover that language is a valuable tool for communication, collaboration, and global citizenship.
I strive to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to take risks, grow as a language learner, and appreciate the perspectives of others.
